- Knitting a shawl pattern gives things lightness - a special volume due to the beautiful embossed knitting.
How to knit - the scheme and description
So, how to knit a shawl knit? There are several ways to make this two punch pattern. Consider also the scheme with detailed descriptions of the knitting process.
- Classic garter stitch
The most popular and easy option knitting scarf pattern. This type of scarf knitting is performed by so-called classic facial loops - that is, a needle is inserted behind the front wall of the loop.
Scarce knitting - scheme and description:
- We collect twenty loops on the knitting needle and begin to knit according to the pattern.
- Remove the first loop, which will be edge - so the edge of the knitting will be neat.
- Now we knit the front buttonhole by stretching the needle into the loop in front and pulling the thread behind it. In this way you need to knit a row to the very end.
- The last loop is knitted inside out. The needle should go behind the loop and grab the thread located in front.
- Turn the product over and start knitting in the same way as the first row: the loops should be facial, with the exception of the edge loops, which are located at the edges.
- Shawl knit "grandmother's" facial loops
A more complicated way to knit a shawl pattern, which is used by experienced masters who have determined for themselves the most convenient knitting option. In the case of the "grandmother's" method of knitting facial loops, a needle is inserted behind the back wall of the loop. This type of garterbinding is not so convenient, but some needlewomen "recognize" only him.
Knitting scheme and progress of work:
- We collect the required number of loops in the first row.
- We remove the first loop without knitting, the next - the front loop.
- The entire first row - facial loops.
- We turn knitting - we have purl loops.
- We remove the first loop, and closely monitor the progress of work further!
- Working thread for knitting - we knit our purl loop, as the front.
- We knit the next loop also as a front loop. And so on.
- For knitting a garter stitch in a circle, you just need the odd rows to knit with the front ones, and the even ones - with the purl, or vice versa.
- Shawl knit purl loops
Some craftswomen prefer this way of making this pattern: they knit it entirely with the wrong loops. The pattern as a result is slightly wider and loose - that is, the effect of azhura is given.
Knitting scheme and progress of work:
- We collect the required number of loops on the spokes, not forgetting at the end about the first one removed loop, which will be edging.
- Gone knitting needle. The working thread should be located to the right of the loop, which is located on the left needle.
- The right needle is inserted into the left loop under the thread.
