The most useless beauty treatments for the skin. Doubtful effect but high price tag

The beauty industry is a profitable sector of services that are aimed at obtaining the greatest profit with the lowest costs. These are "quick investments" when many devices for salon procedures pay off in 3-4 years. And the benefit of their use is only in the promises of marketers who “untwist” patients for the acquisition of beauty and youth.

Skin Detoxification

Detoxification - initially a medical procedure aimed at cleansing the body (intestines, liver, blood) from toxic compounds that are strictly defined and classified.

To cleanse the skin and mucous membranes, sorption, filtration, apheresis techniques are used, which are most often practiced in hospitals.

The notorious "salts of heavy metals" in the form of compounds with arsenic, thallium, mercury, lead, zinc are excreted using antidotes, hemodialysis, diuresis, sorbents. And no extracts of Asian plants will help.

Of course, poisoning affects the skin, hair, nails, but salon detox procedures are absolutely useless and invented to expand the list of services.

There are sebaceous ducts, there are sweating secretions, there are exfoliated epidermal cells, from which the pores are clogged. If we are talking about the usual cleaning of the skin, then call it, nothing new.

If you ask "specialists" what exactly "toxins", with what name and with what formula they constantly remove from the skin using ampoules, masks, foams, then they will not be able to accurately answer this question. And the word “slags” generally leads the experts into a stupor, and they cannot explain either the physiological or biochemical nature of this mysterious phenomenon.

Hyaluronic Acid Biorevitalization

This is an indispensable attribute in all branches of cosmetology - and in creams, and in tablets, and in solutions. Injections with hyaluronic acid, vitamins and other additives cannot seriously change the condition of the skin, since collagen and elastin are produced by the body itself and are not absorbed when taken with injections and tablets.

Hyaluronic acid is fully reproduced in the body up to 50-60 years, in the dry residue it is about 15 grams, which is enough for the normal functioning of cartilage and connective tissue.

Low molecular weight hyaluronic acid penetrates into the deeper layers of the dermis and more actively stimulates the production of fibroblasts. But this leads to increased sensitivity, skin irritation. Such procedures can lead to inflammation, swelling, the formation of subcutaneous seals.

If the "hyaluron" really stopped aging, then plastic surgeons would have shot themselves without exception.

Now there is a tendency to criticize such components and say that this is a "passed stage".

Plasma lifting for rejuvenation

This procedure is carried out for people with problem skin, using the patient’s own blood plasma enriched with platelets. And again, no one is able to explain what “purified” plasma means and why it can change physiological processes.

It seems like a mythology that venous blood is useful to inject intramuscularly to strengthen immunity.

This is not only useless, but also dangerous, all manipulations with blood products should be strictly regulated and checked.

The clinic must have an appropriate license and conditions for emergency hospitalization.

Patients themselves are not able to assess the qualifications and training of a specialist who is trusted in their life and health.

Laser fractional rejuvenation

Directional effect on the skin with a concentrated light beam (peeling, polishing, correction of the vascular network).

In this case, moisture from the cells instantly evaporates, microtraumas occur, and in the process of healing the skin “renews itself”. Active cellular regeneration creates a skin tightening effect.

If the device is set up incorrectly or with high sensitivity, burns and scars can occur.

Many patients complain of the appearance of a “gauze grid” - it resembles enlarged pores that remain for two to three years.

Photorejuvenation of the skin

Uniform heating of the internal structure of the skin and collagen fibers to a temperature of 40-80 ° C. It does not have a destructive effect on cells, but it stimulates the intensive production of collagen.

Artificial heating of cells leads to disturbances in cellular metabolism, after a short-term improvement, the skin loses its elasticity faster.

New “effective” procedures are required, and so on ad infinitum.

RF face lifting

Exposure to the skin with the help of high-frequency electromagnetic pulses with a frequency of at least 300 MHz, which increase elasticity and smooth wrinkles.

The face is lubricated with a special gel and held on it with a hot nozzle for half an hour to warm the skin to 45 ° C. Warming leads to the destruction of the skin and starts the recovery process.

Another technique based on microdamage to the skin, which is then "updated" and "rejuvenated."

Only each time there is less and less reserves for restoration, the skin becomes thinner, quickly inflames, and is no longer able to fully respond to barrier function.

Microcurrent therapy

For the procedure, special grease and electrodes are used, connected to the device with a current strength of 10 to 600 μA.

Microcurrents stimulate blood circulation and contractility of muscle fibers. With a weak current supply, the effect is hardly noticeable, with increased parameters pain is possible.

Cell membranes become more elastic for a while, absorb more nutrients, but many doctors later note sagging and sagging skin due to forced tension.

Cavitation for volume modeling

Ultrasonic liposuction is performed to get rid of excess body fat when low-frequency ultrasound with a frequency of 30-70 KHz and a pressure of 0.6 kPa is directed to problem areas. With a sparing mode of exposure, the results are almost not noticeable.

With increased settings, devastating consequences are possible at the level of internal organs and the circulatory system.

The decrease in volumes is maintained literally for a month, among the accompanying recommendations - diet and others, which without additional procedures lead to weight loss.

Results: most salon methods with heating lead to protein denaturation, which, roughly speaking, curls up, becomes more dense, so it gives the impression of a smooth, toned skin. There is a change in the native conformation of protein molecules that cannot be renatured to their original structure.

By analogy: if you cook a chicken egg, it will become smooth and dense, but it will lose its physiological structure. Now the consequences of procedures performed over the past 10-12 years are beginning to appear, many of them are irreversible.
