Vulgarity has always been considered a sign of bad taste and bad education. Many women, having heard from the mouth of the representative of the stronger sex, another “flat” joke, lose interest in him forever. But what about jokes? How do Russians relate to vulgar jokes?
Portal "Women's opinion" conducted a survey on this topic and found out the following. 38% of the fair sex said that they might like a vulgar anecdote, but only if it is told by a well-known man. These women are happy to listen to vulgarity from the mouth of friends, old acquaintances, beloved husband or close friend. According to them, "it is quite possible for men to tell such anecdotes."
28.8% of women surveyed believe that it is quite acceptable to listen to a vulgar anecdote, if it is very funny. For them, the content of the anecdote and the "quantity" of vulgarity and obscene expressions do not matter. The most important thing is the presence of humor, irony, funny situations. No small role is played by the skill of the narrator. As the ladies said: "If the anecdote is funny enough and masterfully told, then you can listen."
Some of them are sure that there are such cases when on time a vulgar anecdote told in the blink of an eye will make you "your" in an unfamiliar company.
29.4% of Russians said that vulgarity is unacceptable for them in any form, and the man has no right to tell such anecdotes, never anywhere. “I have never heard vulgar jokes from my husband: neither at a party, nor in private,” one of the respondents said to the “Women's Opinion”.
Only 3.8% of women think that the vulgar anecdote told by a man sounds amazingly interesting.
Summing up, we can confidently say that vulgarity is still “persona non grata” and is permissible only in the mouths of a close man.
5810 women aged 20 to 45 years living in Russia took part in the survey.
